So it’s a fake “bootleg” trailer for the upcoming horror remake, The Evil Dead. As much as I was not happy with the announcement of the remake, I have to admit that this fan-made horror trailer for the film almost gave me some goosebumps (almost!) Pretty impressive, to say the least.

Yep, another found-footage horror film! But, are you really surprised? Despite the slew of found-footage films and the constant groans of movie-goers when a new trailer is released, there is just something about them that gravitates us to the movie theater to be filled with (mostly) disappointment. And so, as long as they keep making money, filmmakers will continue making these films hoping for the next big thing (see: Paranormal Activity).

A new poster and trailer has been released by way of France for the upcoming horror film The Secret, otherwise known as The Tall Man here in the states starring Jessica Biel. The trailer is in English, the text in the trailer is not. This one doesn’t sound too appealing to me and have a slight feeling that it may not be what it’s all cracked up to be. Still, I will reserve judgement until I see it.

The Man with the Iron Fists red band trailer – This just looks absolutely insane!

I was always a fan of horror anthologies, whether it be in book form or in film form (see, Creepshow, Asylum, Trick r’ Treat, Tales From the Darkside, to name a few). Asian horror anthologies such as: Phobia, Phobia 2 & The Three Extremes films, are no exception. So, it is no wonder that I was excited to hear about the upcoming Korean horror film titled, Horror Stories. Take a look at some photos below and the trailer. Unfortunately, the trailer is not sub-titled leaving us to bask in the imagery alone.

The RZA, of Wu-Tang Clan fame, has stepped away from music and has been busy, with the help of Eli Roth, writing and directing his upcoming kung-fu film The Man with the Iron Fists. Did I mention that Quentin Tarantino also has his hands in this project as well? Normally, I would probably scoff at such a picture but with name talent such as Roth, Tarantino, Lucy Liu, Russel Crowe, Jamie Chung, Pam Grier, Dave Bautista, RZA and more, there is little-to-no doubt that this movie is going to be wildly entertaining and won’t hold back any punches.

Can we get a “Yay!” and a “Hoorah!”? Well, if not, you’re going to get one from me anyway. As is the case with most anticipated horror releases, Anchor Bay entertainment comes through yet again with the announcement of the Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 Bluray releases. Of course, Anchor Bay is also famous for re-releasing and re-re-re-releasing our favorite movies as well “forcing” (tempting?) many to double dip with their “special” editions, “master” editions and “ultimate” editions. Let’s hope they just get it right the first time this time.

Check out the poster and teaser trailer for the upcoming psychological horror film Scopia. Must say that I am impressed with the poster art and the teaser is a tad… odd – meaning, it looks rather interesting, to say the least. I’ll be keeping my eye out for this for sure.
